I thought i'd offer some of my thoughts on mobility, and how my personal mobility is effected during my cycle to work; the map shows my route into work and highlights the physical cut the M32 creates which divides the deprived and developed ares of the city. I think the question to ponder here is how improving mobility for the car driver has created social problems and isolation for the east side of Bristol. The M32 connects the M5 to the very centre of the city, very unusual for this country, i don't think i've seen it anywhere else?
I've attached some pictures which show a subway that i use in favour of risking my life on the three lane roundabout, and the a small footbridge - the most convenient way to cross the M32 without a large detour, neither of which i enjoy using at night!
